Disclosed is an apparatus for application of a strip to a web, comprising a rotatable drum, a plurality of sealing devices pivotally attached to a periphery of the drum, means for providing a supply of strips to the sealing devices, means for advancing a material web around at least a portion of the drum, means for maintaining register between the material web and the strips, and means for pivoting the sealing devices to seal the strips to the material web.
