ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for controlling the combusion in a heater detects the temperature in a burner and selects a re-ignition mode for fuel dependent on the temperature in the burner. The apparatus controls an atomizing device which atomizes fuel in the selected re-ignition mode, and an igniting device which ignites the fuel atomized by the atomizing device.
