Abstract: In a three phase inverter which is composed of trans- istors turned on or off in accordance with pulse width modulation control, the pulse widths of the gate signals for the transistors are determined in accordance with the magnitudes of two of the three phases of the current to be outputted by the inverter. The load on a processor for generating the gate signals can be largely reduced, and the waveform of the output current of the inverter is improved.
