ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Apparatus for removing granular material from a container or a bin to a conveyor laterally spaced from the container or bin, in which the material carrying member of the conveyor is level with or only slightly lower than the lower edge of a discharge port provided in a side wall of the container or bin, and in which a horizontal sheet is provided between the lower edge and the conveyor. This sheet forms the root of a chamber which is to be connected to the pressure side of a fan and is provided with a large number of slits defining orifices which are vertical and face the conveyor, whereby the current of gas discharged through the orifices effects a transport of the material from the discharge port to the conveyor.
