The invention relates to a method for producing plastic profiles, comprising the following steps: - extrusion of a plastic profile from an extrusion die; - calibration of the profile in calibrating tools ; - cooling of the profile in a water bath or spray bath; - renewed heating of the profile. The invention is characterised in that the heating is performed by a heated calibrating body, with only a thin surface layer on the outer side of the profile being heated. The invention further relates to an apparatus for performing the method.

La méthode comprend les étapes suivantes : extrusion du profilé en plastique d'une filière; étalonnage du profilé en plastique au moyen d'un étalonneur; refroidissement du profilé dans un bain d'eau ou par pulvérisation d'eau; réchauffage du profilé. L'invention se distingue par le fait que le chauffage est réalisé par un étalonneur chauffé et que seulement une mince couche de la surface extérieure du profilé est chauffée. L'invention décrit en outre un appareil permettant d'utiliser cette méthode.
