APPARATUS FOR CURRENT PULSES ACTION UPON CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for current pulse action upon the central nervous system, wherein current pulses are applied from a unit for rhythmical current pulse action upon the central nervous system of a patient, via a unit for regulating the duration of the acting current pulses, a unit for regulating the amplitude of said current pulses, and a unit for indicating the mean value of current intensity, to the patient. The current pulses are applied to the patient through electrodes, i.e. a cathode attached in the patient's forehead area, and an anode secured in the neck area, under the mastoids, which makes it possible to attain the second level of the first stage of general electro-anesthesia without causing any side effects in the patient. The proposed apparatus makes it possible to employ general anesthesia in clinical conditions and thus avoid the use of psychotropic drugs and tranquilizers, as well as general anesthetics. The apparatus of the present invention makes it possible for the first time to prepare man for possible stress situations and accelerate man's adaptation to changing environmental conditions.
