APPARATUS FOR DEMONSTRATING THE LAWS OF MOTION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A simple, durable, inexpensive educational device for demonstrating the physical properties of falling objects and collisions especially adapted for use by educational institu- tions below the college level is described. The device comprises a flexible ruler including a channel for guiding movement of a spherical object. A vertical support is releasably secured to a support member which supports the ruler at one end portion thereof in an elevated position. A holding device holds the ruler at the opposite end portion thereof. The device further includes a support for supporting a spherical object and a sleeve for containing the support in slidable relationship thereto. The position of the vertical support may be adjusted to change the elevation of the ruler. The spherical object support may be moved transversely to permit off-angle collisions to take place.
