ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to an apparatus for descrambling transmitted scrambled television signals. It includes a scrambled video signal having a first scrambling pattern, a scrambled control signal having a second scrambling pattern, and descrambling signals. The apparatus comprises a descrambling pattern generator means receiving said descrambling signals for producing descrambling pattern signals, descrambling means receiving said descrambling pattern signals for descrambling said scrambled video signal and said scrambled control signal and producing a video signal and a control signal, and control means for control- ling said descrambling means by using said control signal.
