A novel dialogue design system is provided for creating dialogue applications of the type understood and used by automatic speech recognition systems. The dialogue design system is loaded into a computer having a display and a control keyboard and comprises a novel Dialogue Assistant (DA). The DA is controlled from the keyboard and comprises a navigator screen (85, 137) for defining and connecting compartments (91) of the dialogue application. Each said compartment of a dialogue application is provided with an associated design and editing screen (101) which enables the designer to create, build and edit compartments with associated sounds (89, 121) and variables (88, 115). Compartments or parts of the dialogue may be played back or used in an actual or simulated environment until the application is proven and ready for use. The dialogue flow may be converted into a machine readable code used by interactive voice response systems with a minimum requirement for manual or machine software implementation.
La présente invention concerne un nouveau système de conception de dialogues utilisé pour créer des applications de dialogues d'un type compris et utilisées par des systèmes de reconnaissance vocale automatiques. Le système de conception de dialogues est chargé dans un ordinateur à affichage et à clavier de recherche comprenant un nouvel assistant de dialogue (DA). Ce DA est commandé par le clavier et comprend un écran navigateur (85, 137) permettant de définir et de connecter les différents compartiments (91) de l'application de dialogue. Chaque compartiment d'application de dialogue comprend un écran (101) d'édition et de réalisation associé qui permet au concepteur de créer, construire et modifier les compartiments avec des sons (89, 121) et des variables (88, 115) associés. Les compartiments ou les parties du dialogue peuvent être restituées ou utilisés dans un environnement réel ou simulé jusqu'à ce que l'application soit testée et prête à l'emploi. Le flux de dialogue peut être converti en code machine utilisé par des systèmes de réponse vocale interactifs, demandant un minimum d'intervention humaine ou de la part de l'ordinateur.
