Apparatus for digging and transplanting trees and the like comprises a horizontal frame to which a plurality of sliding spade assemblies is mounted, each comprising a spade blade, a thrust tube secured to the blade and a slide housing, also secured to the blade, which surrounds a portion of the outer surface of the thrust tube. The tower is received within a channel between the thrust tube and the slide housing, so that the spade assembly may be reciprocally moved along the tower with the blade supported both inside and outside the tower for improved stress distribution and durability. The bearing surfaces of the tower and the slider are provided with linings of plastic to minimize frictional resistance.
Dispositif servant à planter et transplanter des arbres, etc., comprenant un cadre horizontal auquel un certain nombre de bêches coulissantes sont montées, chacune étant composée d'un fer tranchant, d'un tube de poussée fixé à la lame et d'un boîtier coulissant, également fixé à la lame, qui entoure une partie de la surface extérieure du tube de poussée. Le tube de guidage se loge dans un espace entre le tube de poussée et le boîtier coulissant, pour que la bêche puisse aller et venir le long du tube de guidage, cette dernière étant alors supportée à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur du tube de guidage, ce qui améliore la répartition des contraintes et la durabilité. Les surfaces d'appui du tube de guidage et de la partie coulissante sont munies de garnitures en plastique afin de minimiser la résistance au frottement.
