An apparatus for dispensing a carbonated beverage in-cludes a sub-chamber (12) that communicates with a main container (11). In use, prior to filling the sub-chamber (12) it is pressurised to greater than or equal to the equilibrium pressure required to keep the dissolved gas in solution. This has the effect that the beverage does not froth out of a dispenser nozzle. It also has the effect of keeping beverage in the main container (11) from loosing carbonation. The invention has particular application to "Optic" devices for dispensing carbonated spirit drinks.
L'invention porte sur un appareil pour distribuer une boisson gazeuse, comprenant une sous-chambre (12) qui communique avec un conteneur principal (11). Lors de l'utilisation, avant de remplir la sous-chambre (12), elle est mise sous pression à une pression supérieure ou égale à la pression d'équilibre requise pour maintenir le gaz dissous en solution. Ceci a pour effet que la boisson ne mousse pas à partir d'une buse de distribution et d'empêcher la boisson dans le conteneur principal (11) de perdre son gaz. L'invention a une application particulière dans des dispositifs = Optiques = pour distribuer des boissons alcoolisées gazeuses.
