ABSTRACT The invention relates to an apparatus for dispensing enteral alimentation. It is the purpose of the invention to provide an apparatus by means of which substrate can be delivered to the point of application, in accordance with physiological requirements. Moreover, it is to be possible to maintain a constant or quasi-constant delivery rate, as required, and the apparatus is to have a high degree of operating reliability and to be easy to operate, corresponding to its medical significance. This purpose is to be achieved, in the case of an apparatus of this kind, by means of an electrically driven pump controlled by an electronic device, in such a manner that, when it is switched on, the said pump may be driven at a constant r.p.m., continuously or intermittently, the operating times and pauses being preselectable by the said electronic device.
