APPARATUS FOR DISPOSAL OF SOLID WASTES AND THE RECOVERY OF FUEL PRODUCT THEREFROM ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus for the disposal of solid wastes by convert- ing the organic fraction of such wastes to a fuel or fuel sup- plement and by recovering one or more of the constituents of the inorganic fraction. A minimum amount of sterile land fill re- mains. No significant pollution problems are created. The ap- paratus comprises shredding means, primary separating means, magnetic separating means, fines separating means, acid apply- ing means, drying/heating means, grinding means and means to separate the fine product fuel. The system can, if desired, be essentially self-contained in heat energy requirements.
