ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An improved film distributor is disclosed, of the type in which a liquid is to be distributed in the form of a thin film along the inner walls of a vertical tube, wherein a solid cylindrical body having an annular ledge and helical grooves on its peripheral surface is introduced in the top opening of the vertical tube concerned, the body being slightly tapered downwards to have it not too snugly fitted in the tube.
