The invention relates to a device based on iontophoresis and intended for transdermal dosing of an active agent, the device comprising: a pair of electrodes (11, 12) and a direct-current source in connection with the electrodes (11 and 12), two chambers (13, 14) insulated from each other, the first chamber (13) containing the active agent, and each chamber having a porous membrane (15, 16) on the side facing the skin of an individual. It is characteristic of the device that the first chamber (13) is divided into two sections (13a, 13b) in such a manner that the first section (13a) is in connection with an electrode (11) and the second section (13b) is in connection with the membrane (15) coming into contact with an individual's skin, there being between the sections (13a and 13b) a membrane (18) selectively permeable either to cations or to anions, and that the first section (13a) contains an electrolyte and the second section (13b) contains an ionic active agent, bound to an ion exchanger therein. The invention also relates to a device for the study of transdermal release of a substance to be dosed.
L'invention concerne un appareil basé sur la ionophorèse et conçu pour le dosage transdermique d'un agent actif. Cet appareil comprend : deux électrodes (11, 12) et une source de courant continu connectée aux électrodes (11 et 12) deux chambres (13, 14) isolées l'une de l'autre. La première chambre (13) contient un agent actif. Chaque chambre possède une membrane poreuse (15, 16) sur le côté, face à la peau de l'individu. Cet appareil est caractérisé par : sa première chambre (13) divisée en deux sections (13a, 13b), de manière à ce que la première section (13a) soit connectée à une électrode (11) et la seconde section (13b) soit connectée pour sa part, à la membrane (15) qui vient au contact de la peau de l'individu. A cet endroit, entre les deux sections (13a et 13b), on trouve une membrane (18) perméable, de manière ponctuelle, soit aux cations soit aux anions. La première section (13a) contient un électrolyte et la seconde section (13b) contient un agent actif ionique associé à un échangeur d'ions. L'invention concerne également un appareil conçu pour étudier la diffusion transdermique d'une substance qui doit être dosée.
