The invention relates to an apparatus for drying a fiber web, in which apparatus the fiber web (5) is dried between two tight bands (1, 2) moving in the same direction and turning around turning rolls (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b). The first band (1) is heated by means of a pressure chamber (9) and the second band (2) is cooled by means of a water chamber (10). Th fiber web (5) is led together with at least one felt or wire (3, 4) through a drying zone formed by the bands (1, 2) in such a way that the fiber web is in contact with the surface of the first band (1) and the felt or wire (3, 4) is between the fiber web (5) and the cooled second band (2). The surface (11) of the first band (1) bearing against the fiber web (5) is at least partially formed in such a way that reflection from it to a specular reflection angle is reduced substantially. Excessive gloss can then be removed from the surface of the fiber web (5) and the end product to be manufactured of it.
L'invention concerne un appareil servant à sécher une bande de fibres, dans lequel la bande de fibres (5) est séchée entre deux bandes serrées (1, 2) se déplaçant dans le même sens et tournant autour de rouleaux rotatifs (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b). La première bande (1) est réchauffée au moyen d'une chambre de pression (9) et la deuxième bande (2) est refroidie au moyen d'une chambre à eau (10). La bande de fibres (5) est conduite avec au moins une plaque de feutre (3, 4) à travers une zone de séchage constituée par les bandes (1, 2), de telle façon que la bande de fibres se trouve en contact avec la surface de la première bande (1) et que la plaque de feutre (3, 4) se trouve entre la bande de fibres (5) et la deuxième bande refroidie (2). La surface (11) de la première bande (1) portant contre la bande de fibres (5) est au moins partiellement constituée de manière à limiter sensiblement la réflexion provenant de ladite surface selon un angle de réflexion spéculaire. On peut alors supprimer le brillant excessif de la surface de la bande de fibres (5), ainsi que du produit fini à fabriquer à partir de ladite bande.
