Apparatus for drying a gas comprises an elongate housing having an inlet port and an outlet port for the gas. The housing comprises at least two axially separable parts which can be separated to allow access to the interior of the housing. A cartridge contains an adsorbent material through which gas can flow axially from an inlet end which is in fluid communication with the inlet port to the housing towards an outlet end which is in fluid communication with the outlet port from the housing. The cartridge has a plurality of flexible vanes at the inlet end which, when the cartridge is located within the housing, are twisted so that gas flowing over the vanes has a circumferential flow imparted to it around the axis of the cartridge.
Cette invention concerne un appareil de séchage d'un gaz comprenant un logement allongé muni d'un orifice d'entrée et d'un orifice de sortie de gaz. Ce logement comprend au moins deux parties axialement séparables pouvant être séparées pour permettre l'accès à l'intérieur du logement. Une cartouche renferme un matériau adsorbant à travers lequel le gaz peut s'écouler axialement d'une extrémité d'entrée qui est en communication fluidique avec l'orifice d'entrée dans le logement vers une extrémité de sortie qui est en communication fluidique avec l'orifice de sortie du logement. Cette cartouche comprend une pluralité d'aubes flexibles situées au niveau de l'extrémité d'entrée, lesquelles aubes, lorsque la cartouche se trouve à l'intérieur du logement, se tordent de sorte que le gaz qui s'écoule sur les aubes présente un écoulement circonférentiel autour de l'axe de la cartouche.
