ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for embossing reel wound webs of wrapping material, particularly suitable for producing a continuous succession of embossed pieces or sheets to be fed to high speed wrapping-packeting machines on which wrapping material of what is known as the foil type can be used at very high output speeds, is disclosed. The apparatus is provided with a plurality of auxiliary tracks which converge into one single collation track, each auxiliary track being equipped with a pair of embossing rollers through which the wrapping material, unwound from a reel, passes, the said embossing rollers being coupled to each other so that the rotation ratio between the matrix roller and the counter-matrix roller is a multiple of at least 2:1. When the reel wound material comes to an end, one pair of the embossing rollers is stopped and, at the same time, the other pair of embossing rollers associated with another auxiliary track comes into operation, with the whole sequence being controlled by sensor devices connected to the pairs of embossing rollers. As a result of there being a plurality of auxiliary tracks and a particular rotation ratio chosen for the said pairs of embossing rollers, it is possible for their life span to be considerably longer than that ever possible on similar apparatus,
