ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for X-ray diagnosis, comprising an X-ray source, an image recording device and a tiltable patient table which are movable relative to each other, the patient table being provided with a frame which is rotatable about a first axis which extends perpendicularly to the plane of the table; the frame is provided with a patient support which is rotatable relative to the frame about a second axis which inter- sects the first axis and which encloses an acute angle with the table. The points of intersection of the two axes form an isocentre which is always intersected by the central ray of the X-ray source.
