Apparatus for erecting tubular carton blanks from a flattened to an open tubular state comprises at least two stations for the erecting of blanks positioned sequentially along a conveyor member for conveying a succession of blanks to the said stations, and carton blank erecting means in each said station operable in use initially to lift a blank from said conveyor member and subsequently to erect the blank. The carton blank erecting means comprises a suction head (14) for attachment by suction to a said blank (12) in use and means for moving said suction head through a cycle of movement from a blank collection position, through a blank lifting phase, then through a blank erecting phase in which the blank is pressed against an abutment member (50) to force the blank to an erected condition. When the suction head reaches a blank releasing position the blank is released held between abutment member (50) and a second abutment member (56) and the suction head is returned. The suction heads are carried by a link arm 20 driven in a parallel movement by cams (30, 32) via pivot arms (22, 24).
La présente invention vise un appareil servant à façonner des découpes de carton tubulaires en les déployant pour leur donner leur forme tubulaire définitive. Cet appareil se compose d'au moins deux stations de déploiement des découpes disposées en séquence le long d'un convoyeur transportant une série d'ébauches devant ces stations et, dans chacune de ces stations, de dispositifs de déploiement des ébauches servant initialement à soulever l'ébauche du convoyeur et à lui donner la forme dans laquelle elle sera utilisée. Le dispositif de déploiement des ébauches comprend une ventouse (14) qui se fixe à l'ébauche (12) par aspiration et des éléments assurant le déplacement de cette ventouse selon une série de mouvements qui permettront de saisir la découpe, de la soulever, et de lui donner sa forme définitive en la poussant contre une culée (50) et en exerçant une pression qui entraînera son déploiement. Lorsque la ventouse atteint une position prédéterminée où elle se dégage de la découpe, cette dernière est détachée et maintenue entre une première culée (50) et une deuxième culée (56), et la ventouse retourne à sa position initiale. Les ventouses sont transportées par un bras de liaison (20) entraîné en un mouvement parallèle par des cames (30, 32) à l'aide de bras d'articulation (22, 24).
