INVENTOR: WALTER REIST INVENTION: APPARATUS FOR ESTABLISHING A CONNECTION BETWEEN TWO RESPECTIVE STATIONS OF A NUMBER OF STATIONS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The spatially separated stations are interconnected by a channel-shaped guide or guide channel. A universal link chain extends in the interior of the channel-shaped guide and is displaceable therein in opposite directions by a drive. Internally of the universal link chain there extends an electrical conductor or cable, one end of which is permanently connected to one of the stations. The universal link chain comprises a coupling element arranged at the free front end thereof and enables a connection to be established between the electric conductor and one of the other stations. By displacing the universal link chain into an appropriate position a communication path or link is provided between the one station and one of the other stations by means of such universal link chain. Electrical signals thus may be transmitted between the stations via such communication path or link.
