A pipe lining material is wound in a roll on a rotary body using an electric motor, and stored in a storage container. Wen everting, compressed air is applied within the storage container to pull the lining material from the storage container and evert it via an eversion nozzle attached to the storage container. At this time, the electric motor functions as an electric generator and brakes the pullout of the pipe lining material. With such a constitution, the pullout speed of the pipe lining material is substantially constant and the pipe lining material can be smoothly everted with little pullout resistance.
