Apparatus for exposing at least one face of a printed circuit panel, the apparatus comprising: .cndot. an optical system having at least one light source and means for processing the light beam to generate a collimated and uniform light strip on the surface, said light strip being of length not less than the width of said surface; .cndot. displacement means for generating relative displacement between said light strip anti said face in the long direction of said face substantially transversely to the longitudinal direction of said light strip; and .cndot. matching means for matching the relative displacement speed between said light strip and said face to the illumination of the light strip and to the sensitivity of the surface to be exposed.
