ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is provided apparatus for extracting energy from movement of water comprising a plurality of buoyant members which are interconnected one with another so as to be movable relative to one another, each buoyant member being provided with a plate or plate-like member supported from the buoyant member and positioned so as to be submerged below the level of the water in use of the apparatus, and means for converting the relative movement of the buoyant members into useful energy.
