ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION There is provided a new and useful apparatus for facilitating connection between a source of electrical energy and an electrically powered device comprising a receptacle connected to a source of electrical energy, the receptacle including therein electrical receptacle contacts; a probe adapted to be connected to an electrically powered device and to be inserted into the receptacle, the probe including thereon electrical probe contacts adapted to electrically connect with the receptacle contacts when the probe is inserted into the receptacle; and guide means associated with the receptacle for aligning the probe with the receptacle.
