ABSTRACT APPARATUS FOR FEEDING A PREFERABLY MULTIPLY WEB OF SYNTHETIC THERMOPLASTICS An apparatus for feeding a preferably multiply web of synthetic thermoplastics comprises a pair of feed rollers, which define a feeding nip and are formed with annular grooves, two stripping rakes, which are secured to a main frame and have tines, which extend on both sides of the web in the annular grooves and diverge on the receiving side of the rollers, and rows of air-blasting nozzles, which extend in the direction of travel of the web and are disposed on both sides of the web on the delivery side of the rollers. In order to ensure that the air blast which tends to tension and advance the web will not subject the tines to vibration, which might damage the stripping rake, the tines are secured at their forward ends on the delivery side of the rollers to carriers, which are provided on both sides of the web and are secured to the main frame, each carrier is formed with a longitudinally extending air supply bore and carrier blasting nozzles, which communicate with said bore. Each carrier is formed with a longitudinal bore for supplying blasting air and carries air-blasting nozzles, which communicate with said bore.
