ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to the field of apparatus for filling artificial insemination straws. The technical problem is to provide a machine of this kind for dosing the semen. The apparatus of the invention comprises a straw stock, a support member having a slot for receiving straws dispen- sed therein and displacing the straw to a filling station, where a longitudinally movable nozzle engages with the straw, a tube connecting the nozzle with a semen supply and pump means for intermittently displacing a controlled quantity of semen in the tube, actuated after engagement with the nozzle so that the semen is expelled from the nozzle into the straw.
