The present invention generally relates to devices able to purify fluids electrically that are contained within pressure vessels, as well as to methods of manufacture and use thereof. Liquids or other fluids to be purified enter the purification device and, under the influence of an electric field, are treated to produce an ion-depleted liquid. Species from the entering liquids are collected to produce an ion-concentrated liquid. Increasing the exterior pressure on the device may reduce the pressure difference between the interior of the device and the exterior, which may reduce manufacturing costs or simplify construction.
La présente invention se rapporte généralement à des dispositifs permettant de purifier électriquement des liquides contenus à l'intérieur de récipients sous pression, et à des procédés de fabrication et d'utilisation de ces derniers. Les liquides ou autres fluides à purifier pénètrent dans le dispositif de purification de l'invention et, sous l'influence d'un champ électrique, ils sont traités de façon que l'on obtient un liquide appauvri en ions.Les espèces provenant des liquides entrants sont recueillies afin de produire un liquide concentré en ions. En augmentant la pression extérieure qui s'exerce sur le dispositif, on peut réduire la différence de pression entre l'intérieur du dispositif et l'extérieur, et par conséquent réduire les coûts de fabrication ou simplifier la construction du dispositif.
