-33- ABSTRACT A seam forming apparatus for forming a seam in one or more limp material segments includes a fold assembly and a driver for positioning the segments within guide channels in the fold assembly prior to presentation to a seam joining device. The driver controls the segments to be at associated predetermined positions within the fold assembly.
