ABSTRACT Mechanism is provided for rotating the upper header ring that is included in a mold for casting concrete pipe by a process in which the mold includes a core, usually of cylin- drical section, standing on a support with its major axis upright and surrounded by a jacket to leave a space into which flowable concrete is introduced. The upper header ring has an interior annular ring which provides the groove in the end of the pipe. The present invention provides mechanism for ro- tating the header ring to "trowel" the pipe groove.
