ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus for forming articles such as one-piece pipe insulator sections from a longitudinally advancing strip-shaped felt of fibrous material containing hardenable bonding material has a die for sliding contact with the felt along the length of the felt during advance of the felt along the die. To facilitate replacement, the die comprises a plurality of separable die sections which are readily releasably secured in mutual longi- tudinal alignment along the path of advance of the felt. the die is formed with openings for the flow of hot gas through the felt for curing the latter.
