A roll forming device (10) receives a continuous elongated flat sheet of metal (30) to form selected profiles along at least one longitudinal margin thereof. A drive assembly (60), located within the apparatus frame, engages the elongated sheet proximate to the entryway (26) and advances the sheet. Also located within the frame is at least one forming station (74) with a coacting pair of forming rollers journaled for rotation. Some of the forming stations may include a plurality of coacting forming rollers, mounted to be adjustably positioned thereby accommodating varying widths of material. The invention includes at least one guide bar (68) which initially deflects a longitudinal margin of the metal sheet bending it into a through-shaped cross-section. The device can also employ a second guide bar (70). The invention may include a reel assembly (34) to rotatably mount a coil of material, as well as a sub-frame supporting an assemblage of forming stations.
Un dispositif de laminage (10) reçoit une tôle continue et allongée de métal (30) afin de laminer des profilés sélectionnés le long d'au moins une de ses marges longitudinales. Un ensemble de commande (60) situé à l'intérieur du châssis du dispositif, vient en contact avec la tôle allongée à proximité de l'entrée (26) et fait avancer la bande. Egalement à l'intérieur du châssis se trouve au moins une station de laminage (74) possédant une paire associée de rouleaux de laminage montés sur palier, de manière à effectuer une rotation. Quelques unes des stations de laminage peuvent comporter une pluralité de rouleaux de laminage associés, montés pour être positionnés de façon réglable et, de ce fait, recevant des largeurs variables de matériau. L'invention comprend au moins une barre de guidage (68) déviant initialement une marge longitudinale de la tôle de métal en l'incurvant en une section transversale de forme creuse. Le dispositif peut également utiliser une deuxième barre de guidage (70). L'invention peut comporter un ensemble de bobinage (34) servant à enrouler le matériau en bobine, ainsi qu'un sous-châssis supportant un assemblage de stations de laminage.
