According to prior art, for example, when danger or environmental catastrophe are imminent, the population is warned by information guided via the communication network. This type of warning is however limited when the communication network consists of a plurality of sub-networks and the (warning) information must thus be transmitted over network boundaries to the subscriber. The invention solves this problem in that a warning profile is associated with each route/transit switching centre trunk group. The association is carried out during the establishment of the route/transit switching centre trunk group, and is updated as required as changes of the network configuration. Each network transition implicitly thus has one such warning profile.

Ce type de mode d'alerte/d'avertissement de la population est néanmoins très limité si le réseau de communication comprend une pluralité de réseaux secondaires, les informations (de prévention de danger) devant alors être transmises à l'abonné, au-delà les limites du réseau. L'invention pallie ce problème par allocation d'un profil d'alerte à chaque groupe d'itinéraires/de lignes. L'allocation s'effectue lors de la mise en place du groupe d'itinéraires/de lignes et est actualisée en cas de besoin dans le cadre de modifications de la configuration du réseau. Chaque interface de réseau comporte de manière implicite un tel profil d'alerte.
