An electroporator for high-throughput electroporation is constructed with a well plate in which each well has internal electrodes that extend beyond the opening of the well to form contact areas, either as horizontal platforms extending laterally from the well rims or as extended heights of thin electrode plates. The electroporator also includes a lid that contains circuitry and electrical contacts that mate with the exposed contact areas in the well plate. The interchangeability of lids allows the wells to be shocked according to different protocols.

Un électroporateur pour électroporation à haut débit est construit avec une plaque de puits dans laquelle chaque puits comporte des électrodes internes qui dépassent au delà de l'ouverture du puits pour former des zones de contact, soit comme plateformes horizontales dépassant latéralement des bords du puits soit comme hauteurs étendues de plaques d'électrode minces. L'électroporateur comprend également un couvercle qui contient le circuit et les contacts électriques qui correspondent avec les zones de contact exposées dans la plaque de puits. L'interchangeabilité des couvercles permet aux puits d'être choqués selon différents protocoles.
