A mining bit holding system is provided which includes a bit holder which attaches to the rotatable drum of a mining machine. The bit holder includes a base portion and a body portion. The body portion has an aperture therethrough to receive a sleeve. The sleeve has an aperture therethrough for rotatably receiving a cutting bit. The sleeve and bit holder are constructed such that the position of the sleeve may be fixed axially with respect to the body portion by means of an interference fit in such a manner that it may be easily removed from the body portion.
Cette invention concerne un dispositif de montage d'outil d'abattage qui comprend un porte-outil fixé au tambour rotatif d'une machine d'abattage. Le porte-outil comprend une base et un corps principal. Le corps principal comporte une ouverture adaptée pour recevoir un manchon. Le manchon comporte une ouverture adaptée pour permettre à l'outil d'abattage d'y tourner. La forme du manchon et celle du porte-outil ont été étudiées pour permettre de fixer la position du premier le long de l'axe longitudinal du corps principal du second, en vertu d'un ajustement serré tel qu'on peut facilement les séparer l'un de l'autre.
