The invention relates to an apparatus for hot-dip coating a metal bar (1), especially a steel strip, in which the metal bar (1) is vertically guided through a vessel (3) accommodating the melted coating metal (2) and through a conduit (4) that is mounted upstream thereof. At least two inductors (5) generating an electromagnetic field are disposed in the vessel (3) in the region of the conduit (4) on both sides of the metal bar (1) so as to retain the coating metal (2) in the vessel (3) while an increased volume of the coating metal (2) is provided in some sections. In order to kill the coating bath, the increased volume is located in the area of the magnetic field of the inductors (5).
L'invention concerne un dispositif pour le revêtement par immersion à chaud d'une barre de métal (1), notamment d'un ruban d'acier. Dans ce dispositif, la barre de métal (1) traverse verticalement une cuve (3) contenant un métal de revêtement fondu (2), ainsi qu'un conduit de guidage (4) placé en amont. Dans la zone du conduit de guidage, on place au moins deux inducteurs (5) de part et d'autre de la barre de métal (1) pour générer un champ électromagnétique servant à retenir le métal de revêtement (2) dans la cuve (3) et on a sur certaines portions un volume accru du métal de revêtement (2). Selon l'invention, on place le volume accru dans la zone du champ magnétique des inducteurs (5) afin de stabiliser le bain de revêtement.
