An apparatus which remotely visualizes and detects clouds in real-time. A dual band thermal imaging infrared video camera (30) fitted with a special filter (28) images gas clouds. Image processing is utilized to develop and colorize the gas cloud information for display. The gas image is superimposed over a background image provided by a co-located visible light video camera.

Une caméra vidéo (30) de thermographie à infrarouge à deux bandes, équipée d'un filtre spécial (28) représente visuellement des nuages de gaz. On utilise le traitement de l'image pour développer et coloriser les informations contenues dans le nuage de gaz et les afficher. L'image du gaz est superposée à un fond d'image fourni par une caméra vidéo à lumière visible occupant la même position.
