Apparatus including a barrel (14) with a generally cylindrical inner wall (18) defining a generally cylindrical chamber (22) having a longitudinal axis (26), an inlet end (30) for receiving solid material, and an outlet end (34) for discharging molten material, the inner wall (18) having therein a recess (70) extending longitudinally of the chamber, a screw (62) which extends along the longitudinal axis (26) and which is rotatably mounted in the chamber (22), a drive mechanism (66) for rotating the screw about the axis (26), and a conduit (102) for introducing colorant into the chamber (22), the conduit (102) having a downstream end communicating directly with the recess (70) so that colorant flowing through the conduit (102) flows directly into the recess (70).
L'invention concerne un appareil comprenant un cylindre (14) dont une paroi interne généralement cylindrique (18) forme une chambre généralement cyclindrique (22) possédant un axe longitudinal (26), une extrémité d'admission (30) permettant de réceptionner le matériau solide, et une extrémité d'évacuation (34) permettant de décharger le matériau fondu, la paroi interne (18) comportant un évidement (70) s'étendant longitudinalement dans la chambre, une vis sans fin transporteuse (62) qui s'étend le long de l'axe longitudinal (26) et qui est montée rotative dans la chambre (22), un mécanisme d'entraînement (66) pour faire tourner la vis sans fin autour de l'axe (26) et un conduit (102) pour introduire le colorant dans la chambre (22), le conduit (102) comportant une extrémité en aval communiquant directement avec l'évidement (70) de sorte que l'écoulement de colorant traversant le conduit (102) s'écoule directement dans l'évidement (70).
