An apparatus for installing wheel studs which includes a first annular member having an exterior surface and a central aperture extending therethrough. A second annular member is rotatably secured to the first annular member. The second annular member has a central aperture extending therethrough axially aligned with the central aperture of the first annular member. An annular bearing is disposed between the first annular member and the second annular member. A nut, having internal threads coaxially aligned with the central aperture, is secured to the exterior surface of the first annular member. A wheel stud is installed by placing the second annular member against a wheel and inserting the wheel stud into the central aperture until external threads on the wheel stud mate with internal threads on the nut. A wrench is then positioned on the nut to rotate the first annular member whereby the engagement between the external threads on the wheel stud and the internal threads on the nut draws the wheel stud axially along the central aperture toward the nut.
