A laser consolidation apparatus for manufacturing precise three dimensional structures disclosed. The apparatus comprises means for feeding a stream of material to an area on a surface to be built up, at an angle normal to the surface and means to direct a converging laser beam on the surface at an angle of 25 to 30° to the normal to the surface from a plurality of directions surrounding the material feed. Discrete mirror segments direct the laser beam on to movable plane mirrors producing reflected beams which combine to illuminate an area on the work surface.
L'invention concerne un appareil de consolidation laser pour la fabrication de structures tridimensionnelles précises. L'appareil comprend un moyen d'alimentation d'un flux de matière dans une zone sur une surface à construire, à un angle normal par rapport à la surface et un moyen pour diriger un faisceau laser convergeant sur la surface à un angle de 25 à 30 degrés par rapport à la normale sur la surface à partir d'une pluralité de directions entourant la charge de matière. Des segments de miroir isolés dirigent le faisceau laser sur des miroirs de plan amovible produisant des faisceaux reflétés qui combinent pour illuminer une zone sur la surface de travail.
