Abstract An apparatus for maintaining pistes and for attachment to a towing vehicle comprises a support frame which swings about a longitudinal axis positioned in the direction of travel. The support frame has connected thereto via self-aligning bearings at least two milling frames that are respectively equipped with milling tools and have arranged thereafter a smoothing means. The smoothing means extends at least over the working width of said milling tools. To treat pistes evenly independently of downhill or uphill drive, two tail bearings for said smoothing means are respectively positioned at the tail side on each milling frame to form two three-point bearings for said smoothing means together with said self-aligning bearings side-by-side.
