Apparatus for making a snowmobile track having a desired length wherein the track has an outer face displaying a series of longitudinally spaced transversally extending integral profiles, the latter profiles being distanced from one another by a given pitch. The apparatus includes an inner core and a removable curing outer core which is selected from a group of three separate outer cores. Each outer core is formed of a number of peripherally spaced segments radially movable to and from the inner core and each segment has a curing face defining a profile providing configuration consisting of six pitches; the selection of one of the three outer cores is dependent from (a) the desired length of the track, (b) a division of this length by one of the number of segments; and (c) a quotient of a distance between two and four inches between the profiles.
