ABSTRACT Apparatus for measuring electrical potential in a cell, especially at a point close to a sample electrode, com- prises accommodation for a reference electrode, a modified luggin tube, location means for the sample electrode and sup- ports for the luggin tube and location means respectively, the supports being fixed relative to each other. The appa- ratus requires less skill in the positioning of the sample electrode close to the point of measurement and is less vul- nerable to inadvertent disturbance.
