ABSTRACT OF THE DISCOLSURE An oxygen concentration measuring apparatus hav- ing two electrodes formed on respective sides of a thin plate of a solid electrolyte, one of the electrodes being exposed to a diffusion chamber having a diffusion aperture. The diffusion chamber has a very small depth and the diffusion aperture has a slit-like form extending laterally from the diffusion chamber, thereby attaining a good re- sponse characteristics of the oxygen concentration measur- ing apparatus. Disclosed also is a method of producing this oxygen concentration measuring apparatus.
