An apparatus for mechanically pulverizing and biologically decomposing garbage is disclosed which includes a casing having at a top front portion an inlet opening for casting the garbage thereinto, wherein a motor chamber for receiving a motor gear-speed reduction box and a fan chamber for receiving a ventilation fan are juxtaposed in a top rear portion of the casing, and the casing having therein a fermenting tank having an opening portion at a top and a decomposed garbage outlet openably closed by a cover hinged at a bottom. Upper and lower two horizontal shafts are provided rotatably within the fermenting tank; the upper and lower horizontal shafts are arranged so that rotational paths of agitating vanes mounted on the upper and lower horizontal shafts may cross over as viewed in the axial direction; and the upper and lower two horizontal shafts are drivingly rotated in the same direction and at the same rotational speed by the motor gear-speed reduction box.
Appareil servant à la pulvérisation mécanique et à la biodégradation des déchets. L'appareil comprend un boîtier comportant sur une partie avant supérieure un orifice par où entrent les déchets; le boîtier comprend aussi une chambre de moteur contenant un réducteur de vitesse à engrenages et une chambre logeant un ventilateur. Les deux chambres sont juxtaposées dans une partie supérieure arrière du boîtier. Le boîtier comporte également une cuve de fermentation ayant une ouverture sur sa partie supérieure, ainsi qu'une sortie pour les déchets décomposés présentant un couvercle à charnières fixé au fond. La cuve de fermentation comporte des arbres supérieur et inférieur horizontaux pivotants organisés de manière à ce que les chemins de rotation des aubes puissent se croiser lorsque vus dans le sens axial. Le réducteur de vitesse à engrenages fait tourner les deux arbres dans la même direction et à la même vitesse.
