ABSTRACT A battery type mould assembly in which simple upwardly extending mould members having relief patterns on their major mould surfaces are pivotally mounted on a frame at the lower ends so as to be movable between a closed position in which a mould cavity is formed and an open position in which there is provided for the removal of a moulded article therefrom. The assembly is characterised by the presence of carrier members which are, at least initially, adjustable relative to each other and the carrier members are pivotally connected to the mould members.
