ABSTRACT An apparatus for moving a vehicle having one or more wheels which is adapted to move such vehicle by rotating at least one wheel of the vehicle through an element that frict- ionally engages the wheel periphery. The device consists of at least two spaced friction rollers with a connecting member interconnecting the rollers. A piston and cylinder controls the length of the connecting member to thereby press the rollers against and into frictional contact with the wheel. A motor drives at least one of the friction rollers to thus cause the wheel to rotate and the vehicle to move.
