ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An apparatus for nitriding metal under pressure, comprising a first furnace wherein the metal can be melted, a spraying device wherein the metal melted in the furnace can be sprayed, and a second furnace wherein the sprayed metal produced in the spraying device can be nitrided, the first furnace being connected to the spraying device in a gas-tight manner and the spraying device being connected to the second furnace in a gas- tight manner, the apparatus being gas-tight and being provided with means for evacuation thereof and with means for pressurizing it with an atmosphere of nitrogen.
