ABSTRACT A bag-shaped lining for use in packing a meat product, such as ham, in foil, in which a mould is used to accommodate the bag-shaped foil. The bag-shaped lining is for use with a mould having a cylindrical body formed with the mould cavity of predetermined length and circumference. The lining has a container portion and a collar portion with a combined length greater than the length of the mould cavity so that the collar portion projects beyond the mould when the lining is within the mould. The collar has an internal circumference greater than the container portion of the lining to facilitate the folding of the collar over the open end of the mould during a bag loading operation.
