Abstract of the Disclosure An apparatus for photosynthesis has a reaction bath in which a plurality of narrow tubular photo- radiators are arranged to radiate light therefrom and spaced from each other by a distance which is not more than about 2 mm. Each photoradiator has a cross- section which is cylindrical, equilateral triangular, tetragonal or hexagonal.
